A selection of this week’s more interesting vulnerability disclosures and cyber security news.

Something I’ve been waiting for, the reports from the Bangladesh fraud from a few months back. Reading this shows how the chain of trust or assumptions that other people and systems will catch a problem, can come down like a house of cards. Rapidly too. Is this the norm for not just the banking industry? I’ve certainly seen a number of business processes fail due to bad assumptions that others will notice, though obviously not to this extent of loss. Many faults from many sides.

The rest of the news covering embarrassing data leaks, defective AV products, holes in pretty much most things as usual and MS-Office attacks still using 1990’s attack methods….
