In Cyber Security news this week we read about Biometric Security and the future of passwords. It is an interest idea to think that the next step in password control is to use one that you can’t change.
Biometric security has been in use for some time at the borders and in banks and interestingly 40% of iOS users are making use of fingerprint technology making biometric security commonplace in the home. 100% security with any thing is never really possible and so even with fingerprint scanning, hackers are still able to steal and make use of this data for attacks. The question is, will the novel convenience of a fingerprint scanner be the go-to choice of password control in years to come?
In other news a serious vulnerability in Paypal has finally been patched after being reported back in June 2015. You can find all of the interesting news we found this week below.
