A selection of this week’s more interesting vulnerability disclosures and cyber security news.
The holiday season is hotting up and a few thoughts came my way from dealing with a sudden increase in phishing emails and watching the increase in lack of focus from everyone in general because, well, holidays are here and we have so much to get done don’t we?
My thoughts concerned to at how successful these emails could be elsewhere. Talking with fellow IT guys during the week who told me about a successful phishing email asking for a password reset, and another of unauthorised home use of Dropbox, I have come to the conclusion they must be doing pretty well (a good article about email hailstorms below too).
I am seriously considering having a play with one of these over the break.
Stay safe folks one slip and you could have given up the keys to the house.
