A selection of this week’s more interesting vulnerability disclosures and cyber security news. This week started off reasonably quiet, which is a good thing, though last couple of days a large number of data dumps have been announce, that’s a bad thing. Some of those are list below, however a couple of articles stood out. The first is the discovery of an internal serial device attached to the headphone jack of a Google phone. An amazing discovery which lead to finding that it was in fact a debugger tool!
The other article of note is from the founder of Stackoverflow on password use. A challenge pretty much everyone has to find a solution to. Well worth a read.
